*Hadi Rani *
"चुंडा को जंग जीतने का आशीष दे दिया
थाली में काट क्षत्राणि ने शीश दे दिया"
Rawat Ratan singh, a chieftain of Selumbar was married to Bundi princess Indra kanwar.
He was much fond of her.
During 1680, Aurangzeb attacked on Mewar. He divided his army in to different battalions/tukdi and attacked on mewar.
Rana Raj Singh was the ruler of Mewar,he sent message to all the chieftains of Mewar including Rawat Ratan singh of Selumbar.
Few days back only he was married to rani Hadi.
When he got the message from Rana Raj Singh,he started war preparations. He was about to face Mughal senapati Hasan ALi Khan.
While going to war ,he asked his sevak to go to rani Hadi and get "nishani/symbol"of her so that he can see that and remember her.
When rani Indra kanwar was told this, she understood that ravat is unable to go to war because of her love/affection.
She cannot come in the middle of his duties.
For him ,motherland should come first and she cannot be an hindrance to his duty.
She cut her head and sent it with the dasi to him.
Seeing that,he said
"रानी ने तो अपना कर्तव्य निभा दिया और हमें भी कर्त्तव्य का पाठ पढ़ा गई,
सौंगंध हैं एक लिंग जी की विजय या वीरगति
लौटकर महलों में नहीं आऊंगा"
It is said in the folklore that he put her head in his neck as a garland and fought against Mughals, driving them away.
She didn't let her love come in between his duties a.s he fulfilled his duties loving her deeply"
