I came to my mom's place .. whenever I come here i tend to forget my other work.
As it happened today ...i forgot to complete my this week's blog.
I started writing while having dinner with family and friends.
I say ...Family and friends....as now my mom's frienda have become my friends.
It's true that ...once upon a time ...i had minimal conversation with my mom's friends but a stage comes on life when your mom becomes your bff ..along with her ...her friends became my friend.
Whenever i visit my mom...her group who are always ready with their bucket list gets activated.
Every day we try to meet/complete that list.
Seeing them enjoying ..i have seen her and her friends busy with their kids. .their education..their career.
But now when we all got settled..they started living their life..
It's true ...a time comes in life ...your mother becomes your best friend and it feels great seeing her happy doing things she loves.
Women tend to forget her wishes ...as she gets involved in her children.

true, we all forget others while we tend to our families. but its always good to keep in touch with friends.
ReplyDeleteWhen we are with our friend we tend to forget everything. We enjoyed the best moment.
ReplyDeleteFriends are who we choose to spend our time with unlike a family. I am glad that you and your Mom's friends gel so well together.
ReplyDeleteWell, for me it's different. My only friend is my sleep. When I sleep it helps... 😁😁
ReplyDeleteUr right, women forgets priorities of her own when it comes to her family especially kids, she is a simple symbol of giving up on her dreams to see others flourish
ReplyDeleteI dont even know where my life went. Living for others i have lost track of my interests dreams and interests. But i think that there is still time for me to do all this and more. After ball age is just a number.
ReplyDeleteI love my GFs and I always tell everyone the importance of having solid friends. So glad that your mum is your BFF Sonu... it sounds really sweet and happy that she has fun times with her set of GFs.

ReplyDeleteIt’s so nice to see a child enjoying the company of their parent! We all love our elders but do we want to spend time having fun with them or with their friends? Nice to see even in this 21st century you want to spend time with a parent.

DeleteMother's are a girls best friend. So nice to read your post making your mums friends as your own. An evening together having dinner sharing memories must be so lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe should always make time for ourselves. If at 70+ I can be a blogger, anything is possible.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. My mom is my best friend too. We love traveling together and hope to get back to it soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, you wrote your experience but it seems like universal truth. Yes, my Mom has also become My BFF now. But, her friends are not my friends yet🙈
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to spend time with people different from oneself they can teach you a lot about life
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post.... very well written... family and friends are inseparable part of our lives.
ReplyDeleteIt's true that moms forget their needs while raising their kids and only manage to make time for themselves once these kids are all grown up and settled. It's lovely to see you taking time from your schedule to spend time with her and her friends. We can never repay our parents in the slightest but I'm sure these gestures mean a lot to them!
ReplyDeleteSame case with me, my mom's friends are mine too. We tend to forget other things

ReplyDeleteI am glad to read that you, your mom and her friends have a wonderful bond together. I agree, after sometime we do become best friends with our moms :)
ReplyDeleteMany of my mom's friends became mine and vice versa over time. It's always good to enjoy time with them since their zest for trying new things is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteMother always feel proud in all the matters which are around her children. So now you have a big group of young ladies!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree that with friends we actually forget our time and be ourselves. It's a blessing to have such friends in life.
ReplyDeleteYes agree with you completely. my mom is my best friend and I love talking to her everyday. and agree motherhood did not give us enough time to enjoy our life but we can do that after kids get settle in their own life.
ReplyDeleteMotherhood sometimes takes away few things and give few precious things at the same time. Reliving the moments of younger days with friends is always a good way to enjoy the life,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy reading your post about how your mom is now living her life the way she wants with people who share the same interests whom she can call friends. And, now you are also getting to enjoy their company, making new friends.
ReplyDeleteI am also in my mom house. I Become super busy , shopping, outing with mom, completing her work like online shopping , dinner with friends , trying new dishes.
ReplyDeleteEquation in every eelationship changes as time passes, there was a time I couldn't share few things with my mom but like yours my mom is also my bff and I am glad things changed for good.
ReplyDeleteWith age we too evolve and it is nice to know that not only your mom has become your friend but also her friends circle. Many youngsters neglect ageing parents you are a good example.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, there comes a time in life when we become closer to our parents friends and can identify and converse with them easily!

We all love our elders but we hardly spend time having fun with them or with their friends? I don't remember when i did that last .Nice to see even in this 21st century you want to spend time with a parent.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly back at my dad's place, my dad's friend circle has become mine too, due to our common interest in singing and Hollywood classic movies.
