Workshop on Innovative Pedagogy

Today i.e 22 June 2022,i happened to bea part of a workshop held at the institute where I work.
Central Academy in Pali Marwar(yes pali marwar, there is one more pali in Uttrakhand and one in Maharashtra so pali in Rajasthan is said to be known as pali marwar).

I think workshop's organised by any institute is very helpful for their employees and such workshops need to be conducted to get the employee of all the wings together.

Whe. We join any new institute or organisation..we tend to connect with very few people and tend to find comfort in their company.
To bring the employees out of their comfort zones ..such workshops are needed and yes to upskill or we may say update the knowledge/skills of employees.
I am glad i could get a chance to be a part of one of such workshops.
At Central Academy,
Workshop on "Innovative Pedagogy " was held today and it was attended by employees of both of it's branches.

Innovative Pedagogy:
What is Innovative Pedagogy?
The very first thought that comes to our mind is ..innovative(new/unique/updated) method of teaching.
In lay man's language,it is the new practice..or method to teach or interact with the kids.

So , organization had invited mrs.Anurima Roy,who was a renowned person in her educator field to conduct this workshop.

What we did in that ?
She came up with powerpoint presentation and some activities to keep her audience engaged.
She gave us some activities like
*Writing a story looking at the image.
*Writing English sentances looking at the image.
*Forming few some mathematics sentences.
*Finding out the geometrical shapes used in the image.
*Questions related to Environment.
.
.
.
.
And many other mini activities.
To be Frank some times such workshops seems to be boring .

But got to learn about many new things as well.

What are the 5 C's of learning?
*Creativity
*Critical Thinking
*Collaboration
*Cooperation
*Communication

One can say that Innovative Pedagogy is potential to guide teaching and transform learning.

Such sessions seems to be making sense for teachers who are passionate about teaching.

And yes,to make the connection with the student teacher need to be implementing some innovative ideas.

Innovative methods or ideas will be doing wodners.

What a teacher can take away from this workshop?
#Every child is unique.
#Everyone's perception is different.
#Imagination is different.

Teacher cannot keep on applying his/her old methods to teach the kids of this century..these kids
*accessible to technology.
*Ready to explore.

Keeping all these in mind teacher have to keep on learning new teaching methodologies to bring out the uniqueness of every kid.

We cannot judge them based on their marks.
It's not at all necessary that a kid who fails in school will not be at good position tomorrow.
Ofcourse, yes ,they can be doing for what they are meant to be.

Every child is provied with some or the talent.
Some may be good in studies, other may be in games ,..etc..

So a teacher need to find out the students talent and give them a push with their encouraging words and this make wonders in many's lives.

  2. Sounds like a very interest concept, Sonu. It is the need of the hour for our teachers to realise that each child is different, their perception is different, and how they react to any situation will be different. I would have loved to attend such a workshop.

  5. These workshops should be conducted more and more specially to understand that every student it different instead of just running after the marks we should concentrate on skills of the students.

  6. I used to work in education and am a firm believer of the 5 C's- if more schools incorporated these, children would be far more prepared for the corporate world. Good to see that people are more aware of these now

  10. Teaching methods keep changing and we need to keep up. Children seem to be getting brighter and more aware with every generation so new maths are always good to know. Brinda ritecontent dot com

  12. Making sure that teachers help kids excel in the activities they love makes a lot of difference. Teaching as a profession does need the individual to be up to date with times. I am sure workshops like these are of great help.

  13. The teaching methods have come a long way and workshops such as these help keep with the times. Education is much more than book knowledge and now includes overall development of the child.

  14. Very nice concept and a really informative post. I agree with most of the points mentioned here but the one I loved here is that a teacher can find the talent of her/his students.

  16. I'm completely amazed to see the kind of research that goes into teaching kids these days. So many experiments are being conducted. Our times strictly followed one size fits all mentality.
